Sharing A Love of Knowledge

Cranston Forbes grew up in an environment that emphasised learning and academic excellence. He decided on His field of specialization early in his scholastic career and have since developed a name for himself as an Expert Teacher.

 

Cranston believes music training should be available to all and try to teach, train and write in an accessible and understandable manner. As a result, Cranston has become known for connecting people to music in an engaging, interesting and fun way.

Cranston Forbes has been a music educator for more than twenty years and has worked in various roles in the music industry, as a teacher, producer, songwriter musician and workshop presenter. He studied at Berklee Music in their Interdisciplinary Music studies program. Cranston has produced numerous gospel albums, one of which, a traditional gospel choir album, spent four weeks in the number 1 spot on the CD Baby Gospel Choir charts.

 

Over the years he has worked with notable gospel artists such as James Bignon from Georgia Mass Choir, Percy Gray of Chicago Mass Choir, Darren Thomas and Grammy award-winning Jazz player Professor Alton Merrel. Cranston has worked as the Music Director at Pentecostal Tabernacle Kingston Jamaica for twelve years and the National Choir director for the organisation working with a 500 voice choir at their national conventions. He has judged many competitions which include the Jamaican National Festival Song Competition and has travelled to the USA, Canada and the Caribbean as a workshop presenter.  Cranston, however, considers himself as someone who loves God and has a desire to help others in the Music Ministry.
